Just in case you haven’t heard, Radiohead has announced their new album. They’ve decided to try something unprecedented, at least to my knowledge, that flies in the face of our globally commodified culture. They’re letting the end consumer choose the price they wish to pay for their album. That’s right, any price. Not only that, the album will only be available for download upon its release, completely circumventing the need for a label. They’ve really taken it to the extreme this time—even farther than they did with the whole Kid A-Napster “leaks.” Check out the site if you haven’t already. www.radiohead.com
